I have Adrift. I'm thrilled to see Ascent have a release.wottagunn wrote: Hopefully the Adrift owners don’t kick up a fuss.
Feels like an extension or continuation of a theme. Hypostasis did not differentiate or thematically extend from Red Cosmo enough (to me at least). Hypo is beautiful, but I'm glad that Ascent is the one being printed. It's a win for Soph and Jem, and us, the way I see it.
To be honest, as much as I have been waiting for King Edward to be finished and released, the image as we've seen it really requires a lot of refinement it to get it up to the level of the other cosmonaut prints such as The Street , The Alley, Heat Death etc. A greater leap than was made from Cluster study to Cluster (final). The basic concept of King Edward is there, but the composition , environment background and mood, aren't quite there yet. It is a study as it exists now, though. Jeremy will kick ass with it, whenever he finishes it, no doubt.mtarail wrote:finneganm wrote:Timed Edition King Edward?

pay via paypal, use credit card, file dispute at the 20 day mark if suspicious. don't deal with noobs. don't trade with noobs. request feedback ahead of time. there are lots of good people 'round here.
Read the instagram. Ascent is gonna be released as a limited, and they're doing another timed edition.felocin wrote:...did I miss something?Xander wrote:Two Geddes releases in the span of at least a few months.

This is not me complaining, but rather commenting as to how you can't make everyone happy:
If I had been under the impression that Ascent was only available as a print through JLG, dropped 2.5k on it, and then found out like three days later that a much larger print run was to be made of that image, albeit a smaller version of the image, presumably at a much more affordable entry point, well, I'd be pissed.
Also if I owned a copy of Adrift that had some grass stains, I'd burn this mother down.

I'm hoping this is the case with at least one of the 10. That is, assuming I am able to acquire it.finneganm wrote:This is not me complaining, but rather commenting as to how you can't make everyone happy:

I am fine with Acent being limited because I am not a huge fan of the vines (just my opinion) and if it is the print everyone is hoping will be the timed release, well that would be perfect. I don't need it to be limited, I just want the art I love hanging on my walls.alittle wrote:We'll be getting more than two, won't we? Ascent, Begin Again, and whatever painting he is finishing for the timed edition.
