This.
Evilyne, you didn't have to explain yourself but I already know (and can relate to) having a child attending an event opened to the pubic. There are many individuals out there who can't seem to understand that not all kids misbehave and/or the parents can be responsible enough to take care of the situation when in public.

I think people here are more sensitive to parents using their children as mules, rather than the potential for having a kid cry at a Marvel gallery opening. One of those things is silly, and one of those things is scummy.

Except the kids probably don't mind being there and actually have fun.

Bit of a difference in that a toddler doesn't have the choice to not wait in line for hours, or in some cases overnight, whereas your lucky significant other can tell you to drymount off.

5 year olds should not be trusted with cash. Get them a prepaid debit, less to carry for their little hands.

And to be clear, I think this is a pretty cool thing to bring a kid to (assuming they're into it, and if you're into it, they probably are too). Whereas maybe waiting to bring your kid to the preannounced, family friendly, Saturday Disney show instead of waiting in line for 18 hours for the Friday night opening might have been a much better parenting decision. Would have missed out on that OMGMOSS, but you also would be a significantly better person.
Priorities are not what they used to be.

toddlers don't have a choice in much of anything. a mule is still a mule regardless of race, age, or gender.
