With a regular airbrush, set to about 15% opacity, I start to scribble the clouds in. Organic shapes are easy. There's no wrong way to do it as long as the lighting and textures are correct enough.

Shrink the brush down even more and up the opacity to around 40%... I start making decisions on the types of cloud shapes I want. I also decide to go or a more dramatic sky, so I bring in some of the darker color from the mountains to up the contrast.
