That comic wall is brilliant.

Agree on the comic wall - smart cookie, tying them all together based on the thematic cover.
Thank you so much! :D

punch wrote:Freak, so which comic was the first to do that image?
There were a few comics that a similar feel that were much older but the ones that definitely and definitively inspired the rest were the crisis on infinite earths death of supergirl and xmen death of the phoenix issues. :)
My favourite one is the comic book guy comic from the simpsons. Quite a funny cover, it was the most expensive and hardest to find one too. I think it was limited to Germany with a print of only 333 issues.

Thanks man! Honestly I felt a little bit like a fraud coming into such a forum with individuals with such expertise and great collections but the warm welcome is definitely encouraging! I still have a few pieces that I will have up in the next few days. Unfortunately my packages are taking almost twice longer to travel 45km as opposed to 15 000 km. lol they've been stuck at the nearby sorting facility for the past 6 days while it only took 3 days to travel to Australia, best part is I still won't receive it for a couple more days. The joys of living down under. lol

My plastic sleeves finally arrived. Finally could put my prints up Took 3 days to travel 15 000km and 6 days to travel from the airport to my place 45km away. lol

Does anyone else have the same prints? What are your thoughts? :)

This is pretty cool...and since KAWS, Koons, Close, and Rondinone are not likely to be dropping by here anytime soon with their pics, here you go:
Ever wonder what the art collections of artists hold? The New York Times’ T Magazine answers this question for four artists that you may have heard of before - KAWS, Jeff Koons, Chuck Close, and Ugo Rondinone.

From left: Nicolas Poussin’s 17th-century ‘‘Jupiter and Antiope or Venus and Satyr’’; Édouard Manet’s ‘‘Quatre Pommes,’’ 1882; Pablo Picasso’s ‘‘Deux Personnages (Marie- Thérèse et sa soeur lisant),’’ 1934, and ‘‘Tête de Femme (Dora Maar),’’ 1941; René Magritte’s ‘‘Les idées claires,’’ 1955.

that was quite...something. theres aggressive and then theres THAT. geddes surrounded by JLU's blew me away. its just a touch excessive (for me personally). walking in there could give someone vertigo. lots of nice pieces though.
