So I had a standup comic friend staying with me last week, and I was showing him my prints.

Yesterday, he went to do a show, and found a Lebowski print taped to the green room wall, ripped to fudge, covered in doodles from comics in the backroom, and held to the wall with scotch tape & poster stickies. I told him to offer $35 for it, so now he is the proud owner of the destroyed piece.

The owner of the comedy club said he bought it in NY for $25 from his other standup friend.

I sort of laughed because it's so tragic. Makes me wonder how often this happens.

Here are a couple pics he sent me (while still on the wall, he said it ripped more when he took it off) of just some of the damage.

uh, so your friend paid $35 for a pixelated inkjet print of this poster? I'm confused, why would you advise that?

Ha, I thought the image just didn't load all the way when I first looked at that post. Guess he got a knock-off print.

My buddy found it, not me.

So that makes me feel a LOT better if it's a knock off, versus a real one that's been all torn up. Good eyes, group.

That image was on OMG posters when the print was released. It has the same pixelization and although its decent quality, it's not a huge image. I have an 8.5x11 version taped to my wall at work.

I bet you told him it was worth like $35 dollars right! I would be pissed because it worth nothing.
