The original of this poster was actually done by painting a transparency from the back hand side. . He met Hendrix-was very impressed, and wanted to illustrate his huge dynamic power with the aus/on switch. Heavily bootlegged, the originals are really, really valuable. Phil
The actual originals from Germany
have real concert dates on them and go for tens of thousands of dollars (one
original sold in German Auction 3 years ago for $25,000)... the 1/15/1969
Stuttgart poster (the JHE was actually in Berlin on the 15th) was originally
made up as merchandise to sell on the Spring 1969 US JHE Tour (all have
credits for Darien House Publishing, NY)
This is information gained from the folks at concert poster auction site.

nah, just had a revelation i have too much crap. i'm reprioritizing and actually thinking about what to frame, what should be locked in the vault, and what to get rid of. it's time.MJBuck wrote:ryan_1969 wrote:the listing on here for this poster is all fukced up. got the silkscreen version yesterday, signed, embossed, and kicking your ass in person.

i just think it's weird to have have the listing for aor 3.185 and the artrocks pcl 014 and pcl 218 ( 218 which isn't on eb, ...maybe it is and i just don't know what to search for, pcl 218 doesn't work )
like the bg 105 there are different printings, and different years, printed by different folks all under one easy to follow listing. even that fugly white bubble 105 ( which is similar in comparing the bottoms of the stuttgart posters ) is included within the same listing. the same can also be said of griffins aomox, different prints, boots, everything all under one listing, with different drop downs.
