Great movie. You seen Rules of Attraction? Despite having Dawson in it, I really enjoyed it.

Great movie. That bathtub scene...
Didn't like the book as much, but that's probably because I was so used to the movie and how everything went down. Whereas American Psycho is a just milder version of the book, Rules of Attraction is pretty different altogether.

It nails the feel of the book pretty well.

Rules of Attraction is brilliant. Prefer the movie actually on that one.

Rules of Attraction IS highly underrated...I wish Roger Avary had continued to direct, I liked the few films he did...he was always in Tarantino's shadow, but I always thought he had great style...

Watching Conan The Barbarian right now btw...and loving my Ansin's all the more :D

Same tone, yes. But totally different events from the book.

I quite liked Lunar Park a bit. I didn't read the one after it though. It's on the pile.

Just got back from the Motion Picture Academy screening of a new 35mm print of The Princess Bride with live ongoing commentary by Jason Reitman and Rob Reiner. Basically like a live DVD commentary. I guess for those who wanted to just see the movie for the umpteenth time it would have been annoying since they basically talked over the entire film, but for the vast majority (or more), it was excellent. So many behind the scenes stories that we'll never see it the same again. Just a great time and made the film even more classic for us.

The handout also had a fun graphic (if it shows up in this photo):
