Looking like a great show from the preview pics. Looking forward to seeing this one in person.

Haven't posted on EB for a while. The past few months have been a bit stressful and my attention was pulled away from art. Nonetheless, I have been anxiously awaiting the show at JLG, and hoping that I could manage to add one of Brett's larger pieces to my collection. Of course, the preview list was emailed while I was in class molding young minds, and several hours passed before I could contact Susie at the gallery with my choices. Bleecker Bob's was the first to be spoken for and long gone by the time I called. My second choice, Williamsburg Bridge (Waiting 175), was on hold for another collector. It certainly appeared as if I would be shut out for the second show in a row. But this morning Susie called with the news that the person who had wanted Williamsburg Bridge had decided to buy one of the larger pieces in the show, and that it was now mine if I still wanted it. Yes, it will be on its way to upstate NY once the show at JLG ends. I couldn't be more thrilled.

I was able to go in to meet with Brett while he was installing and he really is a great guy. Picked up Flushing, Queens and the biggest painting in the show, Hillside & 179th :-) My first Brett Amory paintings!

I check this thread everyday hoping you'll post that it's "in the works." Must. hang. beside. Donuts. The 2 Bobs!
I *still* don't care for Gob.

I don't think they've been released yet. It's actually part of an older ongoing project. More info here:

I think Brett said there weren't plans to actually make liquor bottles with the art, unlike the Woodford Reserve stuff. These are just a way for Absolut to show they care about this stuff...I think.
