This guys work has gone from good to not. The 4 pieces at thinkspace will be there for some time i think, weak content that gives a feel of a mistake or accident and about 4k over priced. Wouldnt buy it, hang it or give it away but i wish him wellbmerel wrote:fnord wrote:He has some new works for sale at Thinkspace

Just got the preview for this. Not blown away. His prices are very high and I do think that he's extremely talented but nothing that makes my jaw drop, especially at those prices. Also, the woman floating with a black background looks very similar to geddes misere. Would love to see this guy blow up, but don't think these pieces will do it just yet for him.

I don't mind them. Sure they will sell because Henrik's popularity is growing. His work will be compared to Geddes because of a similar feel. Tons of artist online have a likeness feel to Geddes . Doesn't bother me when this happens, because most artist are usually going off their own creativity and ideas. Can't always bust out something original when dealing with the human figure. Sometimes older works are just stronger. Hard to recreate or create new masterpieces. When it comes to pricing I'm Never sure on the worth of single piece. Always broke and own nothing original. Just my opinion though, and I'm not much of an art critic.
Every morning I awake as someone else.
New print coming soon!
Also, looks like Henrik has updated his website recently, if you haven't seen any of the new work check them out, Henrik is really making some great strides with his technique and imagination - http://henrikaau.com/

Slow colors as we lift through the canopy,
Still laughing with her hair all around,
I'm spinning through the trees with my Mary-Ann,
Flipped over and we drift on down.

Very nice looking print. Very good to see that Ken is handling this edition.
