Francesco Francavilla Thread.
FF and his wife are the nicest folks around, too! I've known him for a few years now and we always have great conversations about art and the comics industry. He amazes me at the amount of work he puts out each month, all of it at a high level of quality. I keep bugging him each time I see him when he will sell me some originals, but at this point, he's not selling anything. If you see him at a convention, make sure you get a commission from him. An outstanding value for the price you pay.
Yeah i have had a few great exchanges with him via email. I get to have the chance to chat with him in the UK this year at T.B in Leeds. Hopefully i will get a few commissions too.yingko wrote:FF and his wife are the nicest folks around, too! If it were not for Francesco i would never have found out about Mondo, limited posters and this site. The guy is just an all around amazing guy. I too own one of his Ap Creature prints but to me this is my pride and joy.

Thanks for sharing that beautiful piece. I would love to own an original piece from FF, one day.creatureguy wrote:If it were not for Francesco i would never have found out about Mondo, limited posters and this site. I hadn't seen that full FG cover. So reminds me of Al Williamson's run from the 70's (I think, I know Al did them, I can never remember when they were first published.) FF did a great color job on this one too, especially in the subtleties in the cooler colors.

Hey guys,
As you know, yesterday Oklahoma (Oklahoma City, Moore) was hit hard by a giant tornado which has caused devastating damage.
To help the victims I decided to auction some artwork.
Here's how it'll work: BATMAN with Bat-Signal in the bg.
Original artwork is fully inked on 9x12" bristol board.
If you're interested, please type your bid in the comments feature. Bidding starts at $50 and goes up in $5 increments.
Important: *Paypal payment only ** US bidders only at this time.
Bidding will end at 4pm EST (that's 1pm for the west-coasters) tomorrow, Wed, May 22.
Highest bidder* gets the art and the money raised goes straight to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
I'm also covering the shipping cost for the winner.
This is a great chance to donate to a needy cause and get some nice art in the process.
If you'd like to help more, here is another option: Text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
Cheers,
Francesco
