Stout Discussion - fmr: tyler stout posters are going insane
I very much disagree with clumping the entire Star Wars trilogy together. They're not all good.

So he should definitely redo The Thing..

Me too. I like my sci-fi/horror too much.BetterCallSaul wrote: I'm one of the few who doesn't care for the Lebowski at all..
The lettering on the Lebowski kills the print for me. I have the handbill set, and that works for me.bulkhead72 wrote:Me too. I like my sci-fi/horror too much.BetterCallSaul wrote: I'm one of the few who doesn't care for the Lebowski at all..

That is a legit list. Basterds got me into collecting and it is still my favorite print. I would love to see him tackle it again and add the bar scene and more Fassbender!joshua wrote:even though stout doesnt care for it, IB is my favorite.

I have a love/hate relationship with Lebowski. I love the movie and love the illustration, but the bottom credits being non-movie related always kill it for me (well, that and it's current price). I know it's not fair because there are a lot of movie screen prints out there that either have no credits or ones that aren't movie related, but for some reason this one bugs me.CrustaR wrote:The lettering on the Lebowski kills the print for me. I guess I'll play:
1. Akira (easily my favorite Mondo print)
2. LTROI
3. Robocop
4. Kill Bill
5. Thing
I agree with the people saying Mondo should release black & white versions of Stout's work, since I think the color detracts from some of his pieces

RoboCop is perfection.

Whether you think it's the best or not is one thing. But for it to not show up on some of these top 5 lists is outrageous.
The Akira is a great print but something about the source material already being a drawing makes it less impressive for me.
