Peter Pan (Peter and Wendy) 13 Durieux Release Discussion 05
Available here: http://www.herocomplexgallery.com/produ ... nt-durieux
Hero Complex Gallery is extremely pleased to announce our newest collaboration with artist extraordinaire, Laurent Durieux....a timed release print for one of our most cherished characters of childhood...Peter Pan!
The story of Peter Pan has been a beloved fan favorite since it was first introduced by Scottish novelist and playwright, J.M. Barrie, in 1902. Embodying the exuberance of youth and the mischievous joys of childhood, Peter Pan is a character who has been enjoyed by people of all ages for over a hundred years, one who will undoubtedly inspire many generations to come. To honor this character in print we reached out to our friend and master of color and texture, Laurent Durieux, who in turn created one of his most inviting and vibrant pieces yet, a blue-hued nostalgic masterpiece depicting the opening moment of this classic story.
We are releasing the regular edition of this print as a timed release starting immediately through midnight on Sunday, May 12th.
*Variant editions in super-low editions will be available exclusively at HCG's next exhibition, Arch Nemesis, on Friday May 24th.

Any images of the variants?

wow! yea, didn't notice that. dunno how exactly the variant is gonna look, but it's gonna be hard to beat the mood of the regular edition. such a lovely print.jkw3000 wrote:Gorgeous.
Betting that the green background for some of the close up shots is the mock up for the variant.

One of my favorite moves as a kid and Durieux is a perfect match for Peter Pan. Easy pick up for me.
Laurent is a master. His ability to weave lines and colors together to render such beautiful images... Honestly, he's among the top tier artists. This will be my 5th Durieux print. I look forward to collecting his work for hopefully a long, long time.
