Damn! Those are beautiful! How do you go about framing them together? Do you have to do something special?

i would love to frame all three together... but due to the size and weight of the printing plate i dont think it will be possible. its just too heavy to support behind a mat. i guess im going to frame all three separately and just put the plate in a frame, but without glass... i want people to be able to touch it

[quote="johndillenger"]This is so cool! Thoughts on how to frame a plate?

I bought one from A.J. recently and this is what he told me:

"Ive found that the easiest way to frame mounted plates is to use the frames made for canvas paintings. They are deeper than your typical frame and can accommodate the 3/4" mdf that the plate is mounted on. As far as protecting them, I honestly wouldnt worry too much about putting them behind glass or anything, it's linoleum after all and is very durable. The one thing I would avoid for the mounted pieces is to avoid getting the mdf wet as it will suck up water like a sponge. Other than that, you could basically walk on these with no ill effects, lol."

im just going to throw it in a frame with no glass and call it a day. i love those canvas frames, for canvas. the problem with them is you have to mount whatever your framing in the canvas frame, which would mean id have to put screw holes in the back of the linoleum, which i dont want to do
