so basically the only way to get a print is either have a PB in line or be one of the many who sits all day, all 4 days in front of G88. or pick up a marked up one on ebay...

I think it all depends on licensing. The fact that they are giving them away makes me suspect they may not have the likeness rights but maybe they do.

I can't see them not having full licensing. This is essentially a pet project of the Academy of Motion Pictures and I couldn't, for the life of me, see why they wouldn't or couldn't have gotten pretty much total control over what was available.

Meh, I could be completely wrong, I don't know how it all works. I do know that just because the Academy is involved it doesn't mean all the studios/actors are.

I guessed wrong. PCC confirmed they will have no prints available for sale. That doesn't mean no artist will, but it does imply it.

Ouch! I have Budich's Anchorman print and it's fantastic.

I have Budich's Life Aquatic print and it's fantastic.

I have his silver variant LOST print and it is stellar.

Right..but it's going to be 4 days of the SDCC food court in front of their building. I can't wait to read all about the happenings.

The Englert and Kelly are my favorites.

If they are giving away hundreds of free copies, I would imagine they are lithos--although the article specifically says that they are screenprints. I'd be much happier missing out on these if they were lithos.

Speaking for myself, I enjoyed looking at the pictures online today. But I am not entertaining any thoughts of actually owning any of these.
