The Graveyard series was already great and then Mr. Horkey does a museum level piece. Raising the bar is an understatement.
If God has a plan for humanity it is simply to see what Aaron Horkey will do in the next ten years.

This is drymounting tasty!
So cool.
From the pic I this one rocks.
I can only imagine what it looks like in person.
5 colors on this one and 3 on the art print.
I think I like the band one better but I think the bird on the art print bottle rocks.

Yeah, I am really torn on which one I want to pick up. The art print would go great with True Grit, but the gig print is absolutely stunning with the shadow effect.treynutzz wrote:So cool.

I have noticed "Satan's Finest" on other Horkey goodness before. Not a fan of the whole Satan thing, but to each his own.
The wood grain on this and the bird on the bottle of the art print are amazing.

I think the True Grit snake is just a part of that movie's world since a key plot point was the snake pit.mattlew69 wrote:So did the snake eat one of the helmeted birds?
Is there any relationship between this, True Grit and Dawnbringer?
Not a huge fan of snakes but this is one bad-ass poster!
So now in Horkey's world, eyeless owls eat mini-mantas and snakes eat blind, possibly helmeted birds.
From the tail it looks like the snake may have popped the cork off the bottle where the bird could have been taking refuge. But the feathers look too big.
So maybe the snake used to take refuge in the bottle, outgrew it, but keeps it around anyhow like an old blanket, feeling conforted by poking it's tail in there.

The snake emerged from the bottle as a symbol of the demon alcohol.

Im wondering if the Snake on the TG wood, caught up with the helmeted bird on the back. Also has a reference to "Satans Finest"
Who knows.
drymounting awesome gig poster though.
Yes. Yes it is. Freakin killer.

since it says Pain Annihilated at the top of the label... medicine? antivenom? snake oil?downtown wrote:The snake emerged from the bottle as a symbol of the demon alcohol.
did the snake come out of the bottle? is she guarding it?
Two sided glass and flip the frame from time to time.greenhorn1 wrote:simianfever wrote:That's a lot of wall space, but I tend to agree. Really loving both the bottles. Excellent work. And I like snakes.greenhorn1 wrote:I love the lettering on the bottle but I love the bird on the art print version too. This MIGHT have to be the first horkey I ever frame 2 versions of. I'm not even into snakes but this is amazing.
Yeah I didn't realize this was one of the large ones....no way I'll be able to frame both so I might have to work up something that looks decent with each and just swap them out occasionally.
