Voted - a lot of great prints to choose from. Although, think Hush Masked Siren should have been included, even if only an edition of 10.

I didn't see the variant in there. :?

Shame if it is as it really should be one or the other. JC Richards Walden would have fared much better last year had the variant/s not been broken up and voted on separately.
The reg was there, just as the reg Horkey, LOTR. I just prefer the variants better. And for picking nominees, I think the committee goes with the regular editions.

Yeah, I figure a 1st edition win is also a win for any variant that may be out there.

Anything released in 2012 was open to become a nominee - it only has to be voted for art of the week by site members. If no one nominates it for that, it doesn't carry enough weight to become a nominee for art of the year in it's category.

As far as the Fairey Zep print goes, the call was/is that it's a promo piece for a specific album release and as such, is a music promo print which falls into the poster category.

Not taking offense at any of the questions. For really the first time, I think we've been able to clarify as a staff how defined the categories are among us (it actually took less than a day to review the nominees which in the past has been some active discussion) and that's a nice thing to be able to keep mind of. We'll answer questions when able, but aren't going to debate those choices as well. As has happened before, there have been mistakes in the voting process/layout of the nominees so it's nice to feel that it's been addressed this year. Looking forward to the results - bear in mind that voting should close this coming Saturday evening if I remember correctly...

This is the first year that they got it right in terms of categorizations. The extra effort shows.
