Mondotees/Alamo Poster News & Rumors thread
I wonder if it's harder to get faithful whites on black paper than faithful blacks on white paper.

I wish they had done 1 more revision on the printing for that one. It has so many great elements, but it is just SO DARK that it is impossible to ever see them.omgkitty wrote: I love black paper, and I absolutely hate it when they have prints that are black, and not on black paper. Olly Moss' Adventure Time print immediately comes to mind!

If you're going to discuss why a lot of artists don't use black paper Daniel Danger gave great insight to it during his OFFSET 09 speech. In short, it's pretty much a big pain in the ass because colors don't lay on black like they do on white paper. It takes a long time to fine tune the inks and color scheme to print on black paper.
However, I do agree... black paper should be used more often. Reservoir Dogs is a perfect example.

The variant has a voice chip featuring Steven Wright.

I saw The American Scream last weekend and wanted to track down the poster. Film was made by the guys that did Best Worst Movie, and they have copies of both Stout prints for sale in their shop.
Ooooo... I really wanna see that movie. Hasn't turned up here in town yet. The trailer looks awesome.
I really liked it. Neat little documentary. Cool poster too.
