It is catchy, but with semi-dark lyrics. My son likes it too. I have heard a few other songs from them, not bad.
Is there more to come? recent Emek tweet,
"Ha! I just took 3 poster jobs because my little kids like the music! Am I getting older... Or younger?!" - Emek

The FtP album us actually pretty good . This poster rules tho.
Art comes alive in the arguments you have about it
I'm not bashing Emek for this approach. In fact, it's kind of refreshing. I just never knew him to do posters for bands that pre-18-year-olds follow. I like it. Congrats, Emek

I agree, it is great to involve your kids. Thankfully, from the little I know I think Emek's folks felt the same way. I love the poster and Foster the People is a neat band with an interesting sound. It all makes me want to go to the show. I need a miracle, who's got my tickets?
When its good art, who cares what band name is on it. I have quite a few prints that I have never even heard the band's music. Maybe Emek should start doing more art prints and fewer concert posters.

+1 I got into the hobby chasing bands...Now it's more about chasing the artist for me.wi22azor wrote:When its good art, who cares what band name is on it. I have quite a few prints that I have never even heard the band's music. Maybe Emek should start doing more art prints and less concert posters.

I think that is contender for song of the year, easily - it's great. So yeah, I like 'em , and I'm much older than 19.
Also, this is the first Emek I've been swayed by in a couple of years. (don't mean that as a slight, I 'm just not as big a fan as some others are here).

My 5 year old daughter loves that song!
Huh....That makes so much sense....I always thought it was "better run faster than my mullet"
LOL!
First chorus line is ... outrun my gun
Second is ... faster than my bullet
In an interview, Foster said something about the lyrics coming from a Columbine type of dream he had.

Still no December to Remember Poster. What a load of ____ for a city with so many great concert poster artists. Portugal the Man is a real good band. They actually didn't stop between every song, and covered a couple Beatles songs. Their stage lighting was damn trippy, interconnected white balls of different sizes and a full range of colored lights in each.
I thought this would be the night, their latest album cover has some art work on it, and there music is artistic. Oh Well, at least we get one good poster out of 6 nights of music, we hope. The only December To Remember poster. Maybe Joy Formitable will have one tomorrow night...
