Someone on the inside obviously had a hand in this. No one would have been able to pull off 20+ posters otherwise. Also it looks like all the doodled dove editions were pulled too. This was clearly an inside job.

I heard that there were copies available all weekend. I could have been misinformed though...ldiddy wrote:Very unfair? How is it fair that Emek doesn't sell all the prints at the show for the people that were there? I think that's unfair.
People at the festival were not buying this print. There was a large stack on the table through the last day. They were saying one poster limit on day one and two poster limit the following days. I could have gathered up my four friends and walked over there and bought eight at a time if I had tried. I don't think he was buying a pile, I think he was making multiple trips multiple times a day. Anyone that was there would have had no problems getting one. I'm still kicking myself in the ass for not buying a few extras, but $40 seemed like a lot of money at the time.boatingbenny wrote:Someone on the inside obviously had a hand in this. The bottom line, I think, is that there are more EMEK collectors online than there are at jamband festivals. SCI has never had much of a poster scene. Neither has moe. Umphrey's tried to cultivate a poster scene but I think they tried to cultivate it too quickly and it fizzled after a few legendary Wood's were released and the subsequent releases couldnt hold up to some of the early pieces. TDB and Particle... well, lets just say that most of those kids have other priorities than collecting art. Unless you consider the designs pressed on a pill to be artistic.

umphrey's messed up when they doubled and tripled the edition sizes. the art is still pretty cool.......that Notre dame one and the poker chips UM print. Those certainly hang w/ some of the early ones.

this shouldn't be shocking news to anyone:
most hippies would rather spend money to get drymounted up.......that's sorta part of being a hippie yo.
