Yeah.. I guess some people would rather have their Mountain Tops deforested and look like this than have the Windmills.poptart514 wrote:I just moved back to the States after 3 years in Germany and I had several Windmills surrounding our village. I would run a path that took me directly underneath them and they were so silent that you didn't even notice them. At first I thought they would be an eye sore, but after awhile they just became part of the scenic view and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It is so much better to tap the energy sources from the heaven as oppsoe to the source from underneath.

^^^^^^EXACTLY^^^^^^supertoast11 wrote:America is big - there is room for some windmills - it's better than oil, gas, nuclear and coal.
You would not think so but wind farms are quite noisy but as stated earlier anything would be better than coal, oil, gas, I am still out on the nuclear power debate, a fantastic clean fuel but it seems we just dont have the tech yet to do it all with out the dangers of 3 headed kids and such....
When I first had an environmental science class I was all about alternative energy, but through talking with informed people America will simply go where the profit and money is which is in oil and natural gas. Until the tide changes and alternative becomes for economically profitable nothing will change trust me.
