True .. But thankfully this poster isnt one for the masses (I personally love taylors work) .. and all 50+ prints that are on ebay will sell for cost or less .. Some karma there Maybe that will scare off a lot of the noob flippers!!mcnail wrote:This eBay fudge is getting insane. You try to keep prices reasonable and people fall over themselves to make $50 or whatever. Disheartening.

A lot of us scored the prints though and love them. I am so glad I got one but it does suck to have that many on ebay so fast. Great job mondo, keep it up.mcnail wrote:This eBay fudge is getting insane. You try to keep prices reasonable and people fall over themselves to make $50 or whatever. Disheartening.

That's why it sells out so fast -- people trying to make the quick buck. Although, it appears that this Thor poster is going to produce a bunch of failips, once shipping is factored in.mcnail wrote:This eBay fudge is getting insane. yeah, sorry to point that ebay fudge out, should've just kept it to myself instead of posting it here, but its mind blowing to me...
Looks like someone made an entire $5 off one of those Thor prints on eBay.mcnail wrote:This eBay fudge is getting insane. You try to keep prices reasonable and people fall over themselves to make $50 or whatever. Disheartening.

I just got one for face!!!
I've only been collecting since '07. But, from what i've seen over the past 4 years, seems that flipping will soon be a thing of the past, with the annual Banksy flip being the exception. There's just too many people doing it, partnered with too many drops by "flippable" artists, it's a formula for a flipper economy collapse. The end is nigh.

If someone is flipping it with free shipping, then the price they have to get in order to break even is, what, $70-75? A lot of these will failip.

The unexpected prices Steamboat Willy is going for means alot more folks snapped up 'The Little Hen' and there are 37 now on ebay.
The larger run seems to have kept prices lower though...
BIN are around $100 incl P&P but dropping...

It will look sweet with the Iron Man poster they have already done and the Captain America they probably will do later in the summer? Anything Marvel will appeal to fans of the comic/action figures/avengers etc.

Think it is good you are pointing it out, maybe all this failiping will stop it for a bit...but if the right artist/movie combination comes around you know the flippers will show up, just is what it is. I don't think there will be a Cinemapocalypse or a Saputo Iron Man 2 (no offense, just were in the store for awhile) because of the flippingadamsmasher wrote:yeah, sorry to point that ebay fudge out, should've just kept it to myself instead of posting it here, but its mind blowing to me...

I agree. Even with the in store release, the larger run seems to have curbed ridiculous prices right out of the gate. They may go back up, but those looking to make a buck got stung a bit. Which is good. (And it is less MUST HAVE then Steamboat for a Disney fanatic)rubberneck wrote:The unexpected prices Steamboat Willy is going for means alot more folks snapped up 'The Little Hen' and there are 37 now on ebay.

I would love a propaganda-ish Captain America.
