People that know php, know mysql, know phpBB, etc aren't getting any response. So idk. Perhaps they just want to avoid using member from the site, which is the only way I can really reconcile that. Not sure why that'd be though.
So it goes...

Maybe afraid they'd expect payment or admin status?

Can't exactly depend on unpaid volunteers to be at your beck and call to work on this cess pool of a site. Isn't mfaith a progger? They should just give dude a mil EB points and he'd be the permanent site monkey foreva.

I believe there are talks going on behind closed doors with potential fixers. We just all need to be patient. You'll know when we know.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if the site needs to go down completely for a period when it does get fixed. :D

we are looking at multiple bids and have at least one proposal pending. We are not looking for volunteers, it's going to be a paid contract. It will likely entail a complete rewrite of the database infrastructure. As such, I imagine it'll take at least a couple months to code and beta.
None of us who are responsible for this website really have any idea how it works, so there is a bit of a learning curve as to what the structural issues are and what questions to ask. If the Bot-Jockies didn't drymount with the MODS & ADMINS and troll the site with dozens of aliases, maybe we could use them as a resource.
