Members - Please Read - Adding Art vs Adding Images
I added some new art with details/image and everything and it was accepted and is in the new additions, not like it's a big deal but how come I didn't get the pin for it?lol, just trying to build some street cred after being a member for so long.thanks
how long does it take for a submission to get accepted? I submitted one on Tuesday for a print dropping today and don't see it under new releases. Please help.
Edit: It is possible I accidentally put the date in for tomorrow

I just messed this up and added new art for the Variant editions of the Craig Drake Vader. Sorry about that.clem99 wrote:
add the 1st edition only, when approved add an image to the approved art, then go to the help suggestions, ask for a variant edition to be added, one of the volunteers will pick up on this and add a variant edition and align your image to that new edition, important note is to make sure the images are nice, and cropped like many of the images already in the database
basically everyone that adds art, then add a variant, and another variant, the second and so on editions are deleted or (not approved) at the approval stage

How long does it take to get concert posters added?
I entered the data yesterday and haven't seen anything yet.

Takes a few days, mods aren't exactly waiting around for submissions. They've got real jobs too!beggarstomb wrote:How long does it take to get concert posters added?

You'll get an email once your addition has been added.

Hmmm...entries taking a while to be added...perhaps it's because so few people make them easy to approve.
If you're not following these instructions on what the fields mean and what to put in them, it's going to take a while for stuff to be approved.

A new listing request with a _blank_ title will always go to the bottom of my "to do" list because it means a potential shitload of work to read someone else's mind and figure out what they were trying to do.
By the way, for the zillionth time, artists are listed in the database as "Last, First". It is not Marq Spusta, it is Spusta, Marq.
Bands that are referenced by a person or have a person's name in them (e.g. John Hiatt, Dave Matthews, etc.) will also be in the database as "Last, First" (i.e. Hiatt, John or Matthews, Dave).
Also, there is a button next to many fields labeled "More" (like band, artist, and venue) which can be pressed if you don't see the value in the first list that displays. For example, you can go to the Venue field and if "Watkins Glen Raceway - Watkins Glen, NY" isn't in the first list, you can press the "more" button and all the venues will load. THEN you can click on the dropdown and type in "W-a-t-k-i-n-s..." and magically, the list will scroll to the Watkins Glen Raceway venue.
The more work we have to do, the longer it will take to approve a given request.

One other thing I've noticed recently is some folks using the Publisher of a print as the Manufacturer (e.g. Black Dragon Press instead of White Duck Screen Printing). On prints that have a publisher different than the manufacturer, like Mondo, or DHM, etc, I'll put that in the tag field.
So it goes...
I have a question:
How do the ebay auctions get linked to the ebeans print's page?
I see a button to add auction on the for sale or trade tab, but it has a limit on the number of characters and seems to be inside the "for sale or trade by members" section and not the "right now on ebay section."
So how do the "right now on ebay" links get added?
I see so many prints that get sold on ebay that never get included in the ebeans average. So I feel that the ebeans averages could be improved significantly by making this easier to do.

Go to the page for the print you want to add an auction for. Make sure to specific the correct edition (dropdown at the top right). Go to the For Sale tab and put the ebay auction id number into the Add Auction field towards the bottom right. It'll take you to a page to ask for a bit more details (condition, print number (if known), etc).Longinus wrote:I have a question:

Sweet. Thank you. I will assist in adding this info to many prints of interest.mfaith wrote:Go to the page for the print you want to add an auction for.
