I get pretty serious when it comes to adding stuff to the database. I already apologized to Neil awhile ago for my dumb question.

Anyway, I've added images in the past...got that down now. I just added my first "add art" (new art) submission. Dan May's 'Wish' print. Seemed appropriate given my user name. Pretty sure I entered everything correctly. Hope so. If not, by all means, send me a pm and let me know. :D

Cheers.

Edit: Crap! New page...my gif doesn't have much meaning now. It's cute...I'll leave it.

Sorry if this has been answered but I can't find any answers in my search.

When adding art, you typically add the 1st edition. What happens when there is a variant? Do I proceed to add art again, but this time uploading the variant image and changing the quantity, price, etc? I have gotten the hang of adding art to the database but still haven't figure out how I should be dealing with variants.

add the 1st edition only, when approved add an image to the approved art, then go to the help suggestions, ask for a variant edition to be added, one of the volunteers will pick up on this and add a variant edition and align your image to that new edition, important note is to make sure the images are nice, and cropped like many of the images already in the database

basically everyone that adds art, then add a variant, and another variant, the second and so on editions are deleted or (not approved) at the approval stage
art is the only justification for pain :)

Anyway to edit something that was aloud to be updated? I added new art but forgot to mention what show it was from or add some tags to it for searching purposes.

not entirely sure what you mean by "aloud to be updated" but the easiest thing to do is wait until something is approved, then post your concerns to the entry corrections thread here:

Hello, Is there a way to swap the default image for a higher quality / better picture?

Use the "add image" feature described here
http://expressobeans.com/wiki/index.php ... de_entries

and put in the notes section that this is a bigger/better version than the default picture. Someone in the EB Team will handle it from there

I attempted to add a piece to the database (Doyle new's Arrested Development print) and I filled out the form and submitted it. Got an email saying it was already in the database but I still can't find it through search.
Wondering what is up.

Yes this piece. I filled out the form with every possible bit of info/photo. Just wondering what the hold up was or if I did something incorrectly.
