Help! cant open tube - metal caps at both ends. Tried a butter knife but does not work. Chain saw may be next. The anticipation is killing me - is this just a cruel joke by the seller from ebay?

CAREFULLY use a saw (or serrated knife if you don't have a saw) to cut off the end of the tube. cut as close to the metal cap as possible so you don't damage the poster.

OR a much better idea would be to look for a seam going around the tube, probably with tape around it and open it at the seam. the tube should come apart into 2 parts without removing the end caps.

OR just cut the tape on one end of the tube and remove the lid.

Telescoping tube? There should be a seem about 4-6 inches from the top, gently cut the tape there and it should slide right off.
