Every time I log in to ExpressoBeans, I tick the "Remember Me" checkbox on the form. When I return to the site and access any area that requires a login, I'm presented with the login form again. I remember how it used to be. I'd visit. As soon as I entered, I'd be greeted with a warm smile, recognition glinting in their eyes, welcomed by name. We'd embrace. Share stories sometimes.
But now, we are like strangers. I begin to type. Identifying myself, just as I had done yesterday. And the day before that. I wonder about this shell of a form, everything it is, everything it has ever been, lost. Is it really a form anymore?
I wish it could remember.
