Is there any reason art would be refused from the database?

Hello! Is there any reason why a submission of new art to the database would not be added? I tried to add a print by Kelly Golden two months (or more) ago, and it is not on the site yet. I also tried to add three different Ween posters by Jeff Soto probably about a month ago and they aren't showing yet either. I understand that things can take time, and a lot of things are taking longer than normal because of the virus. However, I'm seeing art being added the day it's released (or even before it's released), such as today's Cleon Peterson drop, tomorrow's AJ Masthay drop, and most/all of the recent Shepard Fairey drops. Just curious as to why some art is added extremely quickly and others are taking months. Thanks!
I saw other people post similar frustrations on Facebook the other day, so you're not alone.
I think there's a big queue and the current admins are doing their research on submissions to ensure they're accurate. For some stuff, that's quick, for other stuff, it takes a while.
The owners (or folk with any power) seem to be absent, which is a great shame as I'm sure a call for a few more admins would be answered quickly and would help the situation.

Well first the listing must be complete or the administration s don't want to mess with it. The admins pick what the like to approve. Its as simple as that. If they have no interest in Your print it probably won't be posted. It has happen to me at least 3 or 4 times. I bitch and my new listing immediately gets posted.
I've mentioned before to other people that if they have particular listings they want fast tracked, I at least am willing to take a look and handle.
Sometimes some entries hit weird database errors that need to be sent further up the chain, other times admins approve stuff that they know the info for first-hand - it's not always favoritism as it is "oh I know this poster, I know this info is correct, cool" versus "I don't know as much about this and need to google it to confirm". There are plenty of entries that don't have correct info in them - I've definitely run into entries where the submission has incorrect release dates or even artists. Other times, it's also the way the queue is staggered - we get recent release dates up top, entries without dates end up at the bottom, a bunch (both easy to approve and needing more research) ends up in the middle - so it just goes quickly when it's at the top and some of us are aware of what the piece is.
Golden got approved after a quick search, will tackle Soto when I get a break in the middle of work or another admin/mod/volunteer can look. Cheers.
