I thought eb promoted equality and that open bigotry was prohibited. We don't have a politics thread, there's not an "anything goes" area anymore. Why is it open season in member signatures? Besides being shitty and purposely inflammatory, it's just not a good look for the site.

If I put the opposite statement in my signature it would say "promoting change for equality and fighting to correct systemic injustice is good"

Would be nice to be able to browse the database by the poster size, just like you can by the band, artist, etc.

EB had this search function (members could enter W x H dimensions), but dimensions on EB aren't always precise and results were incomplete. might be worth revisiting...

I have been trying to update my collection. I think I noticed when the server shits the bed. Moving from page to page within the collection section of the site works great. When I do a search, it instantly grinds to a halt. IMO, there might be an issue related to search.

On my sites in the past this could be a corrupted table or bad index for searching. It's been some years since I have worked on the stuff myself but when I did, I would run a repair/optimize on the crashed table to get it working again. You might have a search index where that might help?

For now I will stay out of search so it doesn't crash things (sorry).
Andy,
Put &ipp=1000 at the end of your collection url and you can scroll entire collection on one page, no more flipping. :ziggi:
If you have more than 1,000 pieces in your collection, you will need to increase the number. -Max

I tired that, of course, before posting.

Yup pretty much any larger thread has been nearly impossible to access for a couple days. Paging papaver for the monthly reboot.

still having issues? had to reset things twice this week... will have to look into what's triggering the db spike.
