What’s the difference between a sent message and messages in my outbox?
I was in the middle of trying to purchase a print but I am not sure if my messages are now being received or not. Our first conversations are all in sent messages and the last 4 messages I’ve tried to send are all still in outbox. Anyone with more info?

If it’s in your Outbox, it means the recipient hasn’t read the PM yet.

Once the recipient has read the message/s they will be moved from Outbox into Sent messages. I was also confused by this when I started PM'ing. Once you understand how it works it's a nice feature in that it let's you know when a message has been received.
Maybe relabeling the Outbox to read "Sent/Unread" or moving sent messages directly to the Sent folder and having an icon or label to display the messages received status would be more intuitive (originally I misspelled intuitive as initiative. Ha, thanks mfaith).
