Guys who are in the Delort Universal Monsters split…
Sorry been a bit quiet last couple of weeks. Who wants to be the next recipient of the tube to take theirs and pass it on?
PM me and I'll send it on to you.

cheers.

Just got my Esao andrews the hostage print yesterday.. Nearly gave up on it. Does it normally take this long to get across the pond.

The issue wasn't them getting across the pond, it was with them being holed up in London before Christmas.
Most of the U.K. Prints were already in the country by the 18th of December - they then didn't move for 3 weeks.

In my experience, a US screenprint from shipping to delivery is about 8-10 days (inc weekends) on average.

Nottingham based new bloke here,

I'm in to gig posters really, but not exclusively. If it's awesome it's awesome whatever the subject.

I think my biggest problem is odd sized prints and getting a frame or mount to fit. Well that and having a house with enough wall space to hand them all.

So, I shipped something to someone in the UK. I put it was a gift art print worth $50, which seemed to me after some research to be below the max to get hit with duties and fudge. It's been on the way for a while, cleared customs and finally the tracking updated to show "Payment of charges - Item being held, addressee being notified" What the hell? What could the charges be?

$50 will still trigger VAT. I think you have to mark as $20 or under to avoid those charges.

Yep or under $40 if marked as gift. They'll have to pay 20% of the declared value + shipping cost and also an £8-12 'fee'. :(
My up to date trades and ISOs.

The gift limit is £36...so with the dreadful exchange rate, you may have just sneaked over that. Annoyingly the buyer will have to pay VAT on the $50 and the postage cost...plus the admin fee. All part of being a UK collector, it sucks!

EDIT, Ben replied whilst I was typing...sorry to be an echo chamber!

Christ. That's pretty messed up. I mean it could be worse I guess. If the guy has to end up paying an extra $30ish it's bs, but I guess still better than what eBay would have put on with their global shipping deal.

Any help appreciated :)

Royal Mail - International Tracked & Signed - £17.20 up to £50 compensation or £19.70 up to £250 compensation.

Thats with a weight of 900g. Depends on tube weight, value, etc. I just looked at the price finder online. I get business prices so they're different.
