Yes , he knows all the tricks , and he comes across as a nice enough guy , I just think he (the American public?) have no appreciation of sympathetic restoration to the age of an item.

By all means get it working again ,change the wiring , fix the broken bits etc , but leave it showing its age not like it was just made yesterday.

Yeah dai. I love those programmes. All those American picker programmes crack me up. They have to be staged!!! Some of them get really arseywhen they don't win the locker!

There's one based around a guy in Wales, called drew. "The salvager" or something? He goes all round the country raiding people's farms and buildings. Getting some random stuff. Thing he got a load of fair ground stuff in the past!

I'm making an effort to scale back my collection considerably, have a look in my trades if there's anything of interest:

Gift if I know ya. UK based. Prefer cash over the small trades I'm looking for, so cash buyers will get priority. Pictures available on request.

Also selling all the mystery tube stuff I got a few weeks ago:

The Man with No Name http://hcgart.com/products/the-man-with ... -callender

Monsters: Dark Continent http://hcgart.com/products/kill-the-mon ... do-arocena

Pokemon http://hcgart.com/products/red-blue-by- ... willoughby

The Fugitive http://hcgart.com/products/the-fugutive-by-moscati

Make me a sensible offer on something you like and we'll go from there :)

Okay so I've finally decided to get a 24 x 36 art folder to store my large prints. No suprise there's none in the uk sp I found one on Jerrysartarmara.com $149 dollars + 25% discount off code. Anyway I go to the checkout expecting maybe $50-100 shipping but was completely shocked to find it came to $500!! And there was no way I'd ever pay that. So as a general question to the rest of the uk collectors how on earth do you obtain a 24 x 36 folder without an extortionate amount of shipping

I can't remember who organised it but I was in on a group buy for 18 x 24 portfolios. They ended up being shipped to someone in the states and then reshipping on to us which made the shipping a lot more reasonable.

Maybe see if anyone fancies a group buy of the 24 x 36 ones. Count me out though as I've got a flatfile. :D
My up to date trades and ISOs.

18 x 24 ? ...they are easy enough to find over here aren't they?...well maybe a touch bigger but no need to import one surely?

In regards the HUGE ones, don't we call them A0 size over here? , I found mine via http://www.gumtree.com for about £60...they aren't common to find but they are out there

Edit ...here's one for £45 ..in Kilburn London ...plus 20 sleeves to go in it.

Yeah , by the looks of it there's 1000 red vinyl for the USA market and 500 orange vinyl for the European market

Not too bad a price either , only £16.98 delivered ...£12.99 for the vinyl and £3.99 postage

Ai Weiwei granted six-month UK visa by home secretary

I'm actually looking forward to seeing this exhibition at the RA - I saw the sunflower seeds at the Tate and it was really amazing
