Saw it. Loved it. Duh.

Could write more but most of it has been said.

Product placement doesn't bother me in a film set in a theme park. It works within the mythology of the film. If this was a movie about finding dinosaurs in the Amazon then a Margaritaville just wouldn't make sense. Surely you all have been to some major park at some point in your life, right? How it is portrayed in the film is exactly what it would be like in real life.

Looking at the projected box office seems like I'm the only one who didn't roll out for it this weekend

Went to see Mad Max last week. Last new film prior to that was Gravity. Nothing motivates me to go lately. Reckon next one will be Black Mass.

I saw it yesterday and agree with several points already made. It's hard to live up to the standards of the original. I thought the CGI was particularly weird/cheap looking in spots..I'm really more of a practical effects type of person anyway so maybe it's just me.

Good popcorn flick though, and worth the watch just for nostalgia's sake. My little one loved it.

Isn't it great how not agreeing with popular opinion automatically makes you jaded? Granted, we're in the Team JP thread, so I guess that's to be expected.

Nobody wanted to love a new JP film more than I did. Just wasn't there for me.

I won't try to take anyone's love of JW away, so long as I'm allowed my "meh" feelings toward it, deal? :D

I just got back from seeing the movie. I liked it, but not as much as I like the first one. Couldn't really get that 'connection' with the characters in this new one. Still was a fun watch, though.

Nothing can ever top the first one. It's one of the greatest movies of all time.

People really thought this one would be anywhere near as good as the first? Luls.

I was in my 30's when the original movie was released. Loved it. Still do.
