Every season watching them struggle to figure out her kid situation was hilarious/just terrible. The show was always much more entertaining when the writers decided to simply ignore her kid.

Watching the finale tonight!
I can totally see the kid dragging things down from a dynamic perspective, especially if the overall plot is muddled. They did an excellent job of juggling all of the dramatic/conflicting stuff here though, including her parenting. Killer job of bringing her illness to life, too. With just a bit more backstory this season could stand on its own.

just a foil for me today, thanks
Finished!*
*funny thing. POTUS resigning and crazed homegirl being exchanged for high-value Russians was a rough but totally appropriate way to end things, and so was was satisfied.
Then someone mentioned that S8 exists.
Guess I picked the wrong month to quit sniffing glue.

Couldn't agree more. (Much like Carrie) I would frequently forget she had a kid.

THE TEACHER on Hulu was a very well constructed series with great performances by both Kate Mara and Nick Robinson. Well worth the watch.
