Saw "It Follows" last night at Palm Springs Film Fest. Quite good. Check it out if horror's your bag.

edit: If someone could help a brother out and post the trailer here that would be great. Most recent trailer is a good representation of the film, but I'm eb/youtube retarded and kinda busy at work. Cheers :pint:

Holy fudge, this film was great.

It's pretty depressing in parts, but it's absolutely fantastic.

Does anyone have a recommendation on dvd formats available for Friedkin's Sorcerer? I remember how muddy the original release was, but I read that the recently remastered version crops out much of the original frame. Any recommendations re: the best viewing experience?

Am I dreaming or was there at one time an Asian Cinema thread that recommended samurai/pinky/kung-fu exploitation films? If not, can anyone recommend some stuff? I've seen the Lone Wolf and Cub movies, Three Outlaw Samurai, Samurai I-III, some of Mifune's work with Kurosawa, and own but have yet to watch Sex & Fury and Bohachi Bushido: Curse of the Forgotten Eight. I'm sure that I'm missing a few but if anyone can recommend some good stuff, it would be greatly appreciated.

The new blu-ray is phenomenal, just purchased it from Amazon and it was spectacular. I had forgotten how good it was and the transfer is top notch. There's no indication from the reviews below that there was any cropping of the image. In addition, the DVDBeaver review states that the transfer was supervised by Friedkin.

Here's a couple of reviews of the blu-ray.

Oh, and if you can only play DVD, I think this DVD is the re-mastered version as well based on the second revised review; but I'm not entirely sure.

This looks like it would be a great night. Screening of Goodfellas in a newly restored 4K print plus conversations with cast on the closing night of the Tribeca Film Festival on April 25.

Good time to do that. I grabbed mine for $80 when they were out of print. Then only a month later it was re-released.
