Also a beneficiary of a weak year for nominees IMO but I don't consider it overrated. Easily the best film the year it won.

I can't remember the last time I saw a movie and thought it was great. So much mediocrity and slightly above average movies masquerading as #instantclassics these days.

Every year there’s a ton of great fudge released. It’s just never recognized by the academy and a ton of it rarely gets wide theatrical releases. I’ll dm ya some movie recs blue

You're prolly right. I don't watch all that many movies these days. Mostly just the ones other people say are ZOMG.

Sadly 1 maybe 2 movies a year I think are good works of art worthy of looking back on. Enjoyed Green Book this year as well but certainly not strong enough to beat Roma.

Last year sucked, pretty much disappointed across the board w all the BP noms. Maybe 3 Billboards for like 90% of the movie.

I was nicely surprised actually. Green Book is awesome, Roma as well dont agree with the music and the whole Black Panther stuff. I think Desplat should have won that oscar but overall I am satisfied..
