The 2 movies I'm most looking forward to seeing this year: Quentin Tarantino's ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD (release date August 9) and IT: CHAPTER TWO (September 6). Seeing GLASS on Thursday night. I saw ESCAPE ROOM last week and it was better than I expected. It was actually kinda smart and wasn't overly violent or gory (PG-13 rating). Pleasantly surprised.

Lucky. I’ve been waiting for anything to happen with this release wise. The eyes of my mother was one of the best horror flicks of 2017.

Just hoping I finally get to see The man who killed Don Quixote this year.
And thrilled that a local art house theater is doing a director's series on David Lynch showing all his movies on the big screen.

This for sure.
I don't have a very big list - and mostly it's stuff I'm already slated to see - but looking forward to:
Destroyer
Cold War (finally coming out here)
Capernaum
Never Look Away
A Vigilante (haven't seen if this is still coming out this year or not)
Us
Also hoping the 4k cut of Satantango gets a showing around here.
For the family - the new How to Train Your Dragon film.
Also looking forward to the slate of comicbook / superhero stuff as well.

GLASS
I saw this last night and I absolutely loved it! I didn't read any reviews going in to it but I heard they weren't positive. I really don't understand why? The story was incredibly strong and engaging. The cast was all top notch. Shyamalan always has his twist at the end (which in this case, was actually 2). Definitely better than SPLIT and as good, if not better, than UNBREAKABLE. I'm sure the story will end here but if Shyamalan decided he wanted to continue it, I'd be down for some more. I know it's too early in the year but I could see this being in my Top 10 all year, or worst case scenario, an honorable mention by years end. Go see it! 7.5/10

I saw Destroyer last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. No real reason, but I expected it to be quite a bit more brutal than it actually was. Not one that’s going to end up on my favorites list come year end, but well worth the watch.

I wouldn't say i'm excited to see it, but i do want to see it
Saw Glass on Saturday, and while it didn't end the way I expected, I did like it...McAvoy gives another outstanding performance
