Viedt's "utopia" scenes were my favorite, made me feel like a worthless, ineffectual, stupid person. Only well realized characters do that in fictional shows imo, also Irons did a great job as Ozy. Loved the soundtrack from reggae to classical as well as the original compositions and clock rhythms of the show (HBO usually crushes that aspect in its "prestige" dramas. Title sequences were nicley done as well. A top tier production.

I'd rather them leave this as a limited series. I don't think there is any way they can top this season. Just go out on top.
Agreed.
At the very least it feels complete in telling its story, starting with the Tulsa massacre and ending with resolution to its wounds on Will. Beyond going out on top, there's just not much of a natural continuation - even that last shot feels better as ambiguous than being answered.
Agreed, more closure in that ending than Sopranos hahaha

Loved the first season and would definitely be down for a Season 2. Favorite characters were Veidt and Looking Glass. I hope it doesn't end here.

Quality show, thoroughly enjoyed. As good if not better than the first season of Westworld or True Detective.

The dialogue and character arcs were well judged and executed with a delicacy and attention to detail that should be applauded. To see all the various story threads all eventually interweave was very rewarding: very few shows stick the landing as well as this AND allow for multiple viewings. The music was perfect and the cinematography/effects were just jaw dropping (got to also love the dynamic opening titles). I really hope they keep it to just the one season.

All in all I think it was very close to perfect. Let's leave it at that.

A second season is up in the air according to HBO President of Programming Casey Bloys. Bloys says they'll follow creator Damon Lindelof's lead. If he wants to live it alone, they'll leave it alone. If he wants to do another season, they'll do another season.
It is really up to Damon at this point, he is thinking about what he wants to do. Truly, I don’t know at this point whether it is a returning drama series or a limited series. I think one of the things Damon did so brilliantly was, he opened up this entire world. So maybe there is another version with a whole new set of characters. I don’t know because Damon doesn’t know, and I’m taking his lead on this.

It was one and done from the get-go.

Lindelof said (in November '19):
"These nine episodes are sort of everything that I have to say at this point about Watchmen".
