McPoyle!!! I couldn't put my finger on who he was. Can't look at that character the same again.

so far so good. really liking the show.

what the hell is ed harris' character's deal? he's a visitor but trying to figure some weird part of the game out? he's gone down the rabbit hole or something with it?

assuming anthony hopkins is behind all the issues and trying to play god/create life.

he's not a bot. bullets don't hurt him. he's made several references about coming to the park for 30 years (and knowing all the characters). read somewhere that maybe the guy william (introduced in the beginning of ep 2) is ed harris character (from the past).

Ok, HBO you have me hooked (again). I am begging you don't get me really invested in the story and then decide it is too expensive to make (Deadwood).

Makes sense. Man in Black has some sort of history with Dolores (he said to her he's not going to be with her that night, he has other plans) and McPoyle's first sight of her has us thinking he'll be going back for more. Also they made a big point of McPoyle choosing the white hat to be the good guy.. I'm assuming somewhere along the way Westworld will change him to literally be the Man in Black utter bad guy.

Eh, idk about the younger version of himself. But that did stand right out to me with the white hat and him being a good guy.

I've read the creators are already working on season 2 ideas, assuming it gets renewed. Seems like it has got pretty strong ratings, so I'm guessing it will happen.

Just finished 2nd episode. Great so far. Never saw the original but planning on it.

Question, maybe I missed it in the first episode, but how do guests know who are robots and who are other guests? Like what if a guest tries to shoot or rape another guest?

It's a bit of a yawn for me so far. Lots of well-worn sci fi themes going on. It seems as though Michael Crichton liked the idea of merging Jurassic Park with Blade Runner, then simply transposed both plots into a Western setting to throw us off his contrived scent. I haven't read the book or seen the movie, so hopefully there's a unique twist on the horizon.
