Just feels like a wasted trilogy, very disjointed. Effects have been great but meh.

You get two extremes of movie creation, fans will complain. They didn't get the right directors for this but it also feels like movie by committee.

The idea of the franchise exists on a pedestal after decades of nerd worship. Like or hate the new stuff however you want, just funny that people seemed to easily compartmentalize the last time something "ruined" the franchise - the prequels - even though that series did some massive things to change the nature of Star Wars.

But whatevs, something something space wizards with laser swords. Looking forward to the Mandolorian, especially if they have an episode titled "The Mandolorian Candidate."

Laser effects, mirrored balls...John Williams must be rolling around in his grave.

I don't think I've heard someone that wasn't an adult complain about these movies. I fell in love with Star Wars when I was a child. Now that I am a 30 year old man, I understand that the "magic" of these movies does not affect me in the same way (for most at least). So when "fans" find reasons not to like the new installments, maybe take a second and think maybe I've grown up and these movies don't affect me the same way they used to. Something something appreciate it for what it is.

Cinematography looks in the vein of Rogue One (and to some degree Solo) which works pretty well.

You'd figure space kids would've snapped off or spraypainted all of those googly eyeball door answerers by now.

For a fan film budget it's well put together but it's pace and energy just doesn't fit with the adjacent scenes.
