The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell (streaming on Netflix) is super weird and fun. If you're unfamiliar with her work, McConnell is kinda like a goth Martha Stewart, and the show is a weird mix of comedy, narrative, and cool cooking show. Also, puppets. Cool Henson puppets. It's not for everyone, but it's like someone specifically designed a show that included everything I love. If you have a chance and are looking for something horror-adjacent, check it out.
Been watching this with my daughter who loves monsters and loves to bake. It's pretty good - like Martha Stewart's show via Peewee's Playhouse.

I wish I liked the new Suspiria a lot, but instead, I just appreciate it. Way too long for what it is, but when the climax hits, it's really very good - even if Guadagnino does employ that strobe like camera technique.

Same here. I wanted to like it, but I just didn't. Was more disappointed than anything.

I haven't seen the original in so long, so I keep debating whether or not to watch it before seeing the new one, or just wait for the new one to stream and watch both back to back or something.

1. Satans Slaves (Probably my second favorite horror movie of the year and easily one of the standouts of 31 in 31 this year)
2. NOES 3 : Dream Warriors
3. Unfriended : Dark Web
4. The Howling (Somehow I had never seen this. I don't get the love at all)
5. Hell House 2 (OOF)
6. Student Bodies
7. Extremity (Worst horror movie of 2018 and probably the worst movie I have seen this year)
8. Malatestas Carnival of Blood (This was...different. Not sure I would ever recommend it to anyone but I think I enjoyed watching it)
9. Macabre (Mo Brothers) (SO MUCH BLOOD. Movie drymounting ruled)
10. Ghostland
11. The Red Shoes
12. Angst (Really interesting German slasher)
13. Apostle
14. The Gate
15. Amer (Another movie that I don't get the love for. It didn't work for me at all)
16. Dolls
17. Your Vice Is A Locked Room and Only I Have The Key (New favorite movie title. I had never heard of this before and it is my new favorite Giallo. Loved every minute of it.) (HIGHLY RECOMMEND)
18. Halloween (1978)
19. Halloween (2018) (Um... what? Every minute not spent on Laurie is pretty awful. The doctor sub plot        The podcast fudge     )
20. Halloween 2 (1981)
21. Summer of 84 (Another movie that was drymounting awful. Save for a pretty great ending, the movie was a complete waste of time. It was just trying to cash in on the stranger things success and didn't work at all)
22. The Strange Colour of Your Bodys Tears
23. Blue My Mind (Being called this years Raw which is definitely going to heighten peoples expectations. NOPE)
24. Village of the Damned
25. Terror Train
26. The Monster Squad
27. Night of the Creeps
28. Dawn of the Dead (2004)
29. Hell House LLC
30. The Witches
31. Scream
32. Scream 2
33. The Conjuring
34. Trick r Treat

Did not mix it up anywhere near as much as I wanted to but I am just glad I was able to keep the streak alive.

Right now the best 2 horror movies of the year are Pyewacket and Satans Slaves IMO. Nothing else is even close. I enjoyed the fudge out of Terrified too. I'd definitely recommend that to anyone who hasn't seen it. Savageland was also an interesting flick worth checking out.

What other Giallos would you recommend?
Just got into it. Watched Profondo Rosso (Deep Red), Blood and Black Lace, Tenebrae and Suspiria (wouldn't say it is a Giallo but)
Which i all really loved.

I actually had just re watched Texas Chainsaw (and a bunch of Hooper's stuff) and Blood Rage trying to get my own thanksgiving horror themed night going. I had never seen Dead or Alive and thought it was cool. Looking forward to the Christmas special.
