I couldn't get passed the terrible performances from mother and daughter. Some pretty forced situations too. Wasn't my cup of tea.inkedup wrote:Watched "The Monster" last night. Pretty solid movie, had some good suspenseful moments which seem to be lacking in most current horror films, the ending could of been better though.
Film flames, episode episodes. Post lifetime is 1 year.
I watched this a couple weeks ago. I really enjoyed it. Gave me a real creepy feeling the whole time. Great atmosphere! It worked really well for me too because my girlfriend was traveling by herself for work. I was worried she was going to be in some dump motel run by a seedy manager. Thankfully, not the case.Diabolos80 wrote:I finally got around to watching Neon Demon. It was much, much better than I expected.

Watched Get Out last night and really enjoyed it; there's a lot to unpack in that movie (culturally, socially, racially, etc.) and Peele definitely wears some of his influences on his sleeve. Definitely one of the most satisfying horror movies I've seen in a while.
The ending completely ruins the movie. Would've been much more impactful ending 20 minutes earlier. It's visually beautiful and DeHaan is good in it. The structure of the movie isn't great, but it would be worth a watch if it didn't have a crap ending. I'm sure the ratings would be higher had it done so.bmd1191 wrote:I had high hopes for Verbinski's A Cure for Wellness that is coming out this weekend, but early critic reviews do not seem to think too highly of it. Only at like 33% on RT.
Movie is even better upon 2nd viewing. You catch so many tiny little details that add up in the end. A very impressive and well thought out film.bmerwinsuwc wrote:Watched Get Out last night and really enjoyed it; there's a lot to unpack in that movie (culturally, socially, racially, etc.) and Peele definitely wears some of his influences on his sleeve.
