Finally Life Aquatic?! I was just whining about not having it on Blu a couple of hours ago.

I had no idea there were this many Life Aquatic fans. Alongside Moonrise Kingdom it's my least favourite Wes Anderson film.

I hope it doesn't take as long for them to release Moonrise Kingdom as it did to release Fantastic Mr Fox.

Also, I wonder how long they're going to tease us with Scanners?

Probably same amount of time they teased us with the non-arrival of Y Tu Mama Tambien which I'm sure fell to the side with a rights issue or something.

I'm still crossing my fingers for Y Tu Mama Tambien, and saying that it was Cuaron simply being busy with Gravity that's taken them so long.

I don't think you're alone in that opinion. I guess it just strikes a chord in a certain kind of person.

Besides being incredibly funny in the driest way. The father/son stuff shreds me. Read into that what you will.

Gf and I have fallen in love with Wes Anderson and believe it or not I have never even seen Life Aquatic. We did love Moonrise Kingdom, but it is very different from say Bottle Rocket and Rushmore. Actually looks like we still need to watch a few more, as we have only seen those three, but loved them.

While I have only seen three of his movies, Life Aquatic was the only one of those that I actually liked.

Well I have some good movies ahead of me I guess, because I loved Bottle Rocket.

I know, tough call. Have you seen it? He's got a bunch of good ones. Double Indemnity is also up there. My girl's favorite is Sunset Boulevard. I like that and The Apartment a lot. And Some like it Hot. The Lost Weekend and The Seven Year Itch are good too, and The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes is the best Sherlock Holmes movie.

But Ace in the Hole is dark, cynical, comical, and relevant, and Kirk Douglas turns in a killer performance. One of his best. I enjoy watching it more than any other Wilder film.

I've never seen Witness for the Prosecution or Irma la Douce.

I enjoyed Witness for the Prosecution, but I could also make snide remarks about it while watching. Some parts of it don't hold up as well to me, but still a worthwhile watch...and on Netflix to boot.
