Coachella Indio 12 EMEK Release Discussion 04/13/12
I'd say ask when they are tearing you car apart. there will be plenty of time in the search line, especially when you get there early. Won't ever find me there. No glass on the polo grounds, they go through ever bag and cooler. Look for the line that is moving the fastest and pick a line that is far from the security tent. I saw a guy trying to take away a mini tabasco bottle, the owner asked if he dumped it into a ziplock would that be alright. security said yes that would be ok. If you want to get stuff in wait until the lines are long and get in the fastest one that is as far away from the main security tent. good luck with the posters, they look super. if you want to make a quick buck when you get back I'll pay you an extra 50 or so for one. last year the were 150 i think?

At the boutique next to the merch. It's on the map.bhutanpro wrote: Where does one find this at the event?
Last year they were 90/175 for regular/variant. I didn't see any foils. I won't be going until next weekend so I hope they still have some left.

Woody's avatar expression is how I feel just reading this. BUT, I'm guessing that $250 at the show makes for mostly flipper-free buyers and collectors shelling out the dough.woodyland wrote:I heard they were $250

Jesus... I am a collector true and blue, and yet I wouldn't even think of shelling out anywhere CLOSE to $250 for the reg!!! Unless the print run was like 90 or something crazy low like that) I sure hope EMEK's copies are priced a bit more reasonably.
I 'heard' it here^GiantBoyDective wrote:talked 2 a friend who was there 2 see if he could PB 4 me & he said they were 250$ each. can't come up with that so i had 2 passaldo wrote:At the boutique next to the merch. It's on the map.bhutanpro wrote: Where does one find this at the event?

But now I see that's the run & not the cost. Whoa, sorry
They're a Band Beyond Description, like Jehovah's Favorite Choir
In the past, Coachella posters have become obtainable for less than cost if you give it a while (other than Emek's sweet foils, which aren't priced for this world anyway). The pricing definitely keeps the flip-nastiest of that ilk away from the merch stand.
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.
Just FYI folks- to quell your fears:
Blue regular is $125 for an edition of 250
Sunset variant is $250 for an edition of 100
Available for purchase at the Boutique, which is near the merchandise tent. No price drops over the first weekend, either. Hopefully those going next weekend will get lucky.

The year I went directly to the drymounting tent where they sell this fudge after gates opened on the camping side (they opened earlier than the regular gates), they had two foils. And although I arrived first -- I never thought they would be foils so had no intentions of buying any -- the cocksucker selling them brought them out for some other douche in some sort of private sale bullshit. The dude tried to put it on some CC, and it did not work (keep balance-free cards, asshole), so he borrowed money from his douche friend and did a combo CC/Debit card/whatever and cash. If any of the above rings a bell to any of you because you are the 'cocksucker', or 'other douche', or 'douche friend' ...
Other douche stated that he was not going to sell them, "no way", to some random kid that asked about them while he was tubing them. I saw he sold (at least one of them) on sixtiespostersauctionorwhatever in the sales history. I think the whole point of my overly long post is that you can forget about the foils unless you are 'other douche' or paying double for it on sixtieseBay.
