Stampede 11 Keyes Release Discussion 11/14/11
i like this print a lot. i also think $350 is very reasonable for such a huge print. speaking of which....
i like the size. this thing is going to be HUGE!
i hope to be one of the 35 storing it between foam core under my bed for at least a few months. i just have see if my wife likes this print or not. wish me luck.

We should form a club...
Don’t deal with MillerTime04 - he’s a scammer
I think it's pretty clear this is a release for the fans. The variables are relatively identical to Sowers with the exception of the flaking issue of Sowers due to the paper. If you miss out on Monday, you'll be buying for $25 over face plus shipping on Ebay Tuesday.
Just to comment on the objection about discussing flippability: This is the release discussion thread, not the art discussion thread so I think it's appropriate to fold pre and post release discussion in here... and flipping is a part of that IMO.

Can anyone comment on the costs for framing something this size? I've never priced anything remotely this big.
Just did a mockup on Frame Destination using my specs from my other JK's and I'm looking at three bills... and that's DIY. I suppose taking it to a good framer would add another $100 to it easily.rhythmgtr5 wrote:Can anyone comment on the costs for framing something this size? the flipped prints that are redistributed to the framed, tubed and stored under the bed groups.sixstringer wrote:but where do the extra 50 prints come from?
All depends on how you go about framing it and all the variables. You could DIY it for like he said about 300, but take it to a pro and the sky is the limit. You could easily drop 5-600 on it without trying very hard.

I'll be going for this on Monday like a fat kid goes for the last piece of cake.
I've always wanted a Keyes piece with an Orca and Thunder has eluded me.

Yeah, it was between $500 and $600 to frame Sowers for me, but I know my local framer is expensive. I use him because he's completely professional, local of course, quality is outstanding, and the service he provides is excellent. The print was so large after it was framed that he freely offered to personally delivery it to my house when it was done. I gladly pay extra for that kind of professional relationship.Baker wrote:All depends on how you go about framing it and all the variables. I have a few meetings Monday morning and I might be a little late to the drop.
