you can just mat or frame over the border, you just can't float these, you can still get the same effect as the original jpeg from his site

The border is too big to frame over and I really don't like the way mattes look over prints/fine art.

i agree it'd look bad with a matte but are you sure with the right frame/framer you couldn't cover up a 1" border? (or at least most of it)
