guess that means that wikileaks is off limits as well...

On a side note, I can't believe that some flippers are trying to sell this set for $1,000.00.

that's a new low IMHO, let's put that in perspective:

1. That's expecting to make a 540% profit margin which is insane...

2. That means that each print is selling for $333.33 and consider that these prints are not full size 18"x24"...they are only 18"x12" half-sized prints.

3. I picked up a full-size original Peace Child a few weeks ago for only $200.00 and the the original Peace hand for only $140.00...the original peace elephant is currently going for between $350-$400. This only adds up to $740.00 max and thats for twice the amount of real-estate and ink!

I think some flippers need to lower their expectations.

Give it time. My pops always said, "never gamble with you heart son." Lots of heart out there the last few days. I know a little piece of my life is now gone. But again, give it time, the heart mends.

While all that you posted IS true I have to play devils advocate.

1. These were only sold as sets. 150 of them. With a COA.

2. Does the size of the print really matter that much?

3. Original prints are editions: Elephant=450, Fingers=3 colorways of 200, etc.... Less prints usually means more demand.

Pretty nice set of prints if you ask me. They are all iconic images that Shep has produced the last few years.

The onsale sucked. Didn't recieve my email until the print was sold out. :hanging: Wish I would have secured a set of Moss Star Wars prints!!

Yes, thats probably a flipper defending his sale on ebay, but at least he is auctioning off his set via open auction and starting bid less than $300.00

respect for that!

yeah but the colorway of these three sucks compared to the originals.

EDIT: And yeah the size matters... what if these were printed on 5x7 index cards? Would you still pay $185 for the set then?
