My handbill arrived in perfect condition. :) The detail is really amazing, even for being so small. Now I am hoping to get a large one signed by the artists.

OK so I just got my handbill from the Decemberists store. When I was going to put it in the portfolio, I noticed it was different then the other one I had already gotten from a board member. The one I got from a board member has a dark blue sky, while the new one from the Decembersits store has a light almost white background. I took pictures, but I still need to load them. I'll post em up once they are loaded.

Any idea as to the origin of the one with the blue sky? i.e. where did the person you got it from acquire it?

I don't know too much about the process of silkscreening, but if the handbills were printed 2-up next to the main poster, wouldn't the handbills on the top have the darker blue and the lower ones have the grayish blue, because of the gradient on the main print? So half would be the darker blue and half the lighter blue? Just a guess. :?

I'm pretty sure it was from the show.

I was going to say ... the art discussion is in the release thread, and the shipping comments are in the art thread. :silly:

the darker sky seems a little more intentional than a fade between the two handbills (perhaps the variants will have darker blue skies?) ... but, it's all speculation on our parts ... Mitch may know.

(edit - in looking at all the auctions on ebay ... does seems that some of the regular editions may have darker skies on them ... wonder if they were all meant to have the darker blue skies and the screen got a bit clogged??) This sky looks a lot darker than mine. Could be the explosure. Anyway ... I don't know.
