I was going to guess 3. (I missed the entry deadline)
human
plan
fungus
The possibilities are endless depending on how literal Emek takes the definition of "life form."

i was thinking of a few different answers:
1 (all is one)
2 (the ship/the plant life + the world it was sailing in. to me the machines on the ground did not constitute life but now that I think about it just because I saw them as evil didn't mean they weren't alive)
74 (approximate number of bands at the fest)
in the end I went with 42 Life Forms: The Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Good Times!

i never sent one since i have no desire to own this print even if he gave it to me free. i would guess he got in the neighborhood of 2,542 emailsAOXOMOXOA wrote:I would be interested in how many total emails Emek received from his question...

i'd be interested too. if he got a ton of emails, since this question can be open to interpretation, it wouldn't surprise me if he "choose" the answer based on how many emails he got for that answer if his run is that small. one an explain the answer in so many different ways. it seems that few people actually counted every single life form (which may have actually been the most fair way to do it). i guess we'll know pretty soon right?muffinslinger wrote:i never sent one since i have no desire to own this print even if he gave it to me free. i would guess he got in the neighborhood of 2,542 emailsAOXOMOXOA wrote:I would be interested in how many total emails Emek received from his question...
As it is with every one of these mail contest deals, when the first person hears about it, I'm sure they will post about it.Bandit420 wrote:had anyone heard anything back from Emek yet??? Im curious as to what was the right answer....

13, 12, 10, 9, 3, 2 were all acceptable answers. I guessed 2 and just got an invite to buy. Sweet!
No print, but I'll take this as a nice consolation:piomba wrote:i was thinking of a few different answers:

"42- yes thats the answer to Everything..but not this time
infinite- yes, that is true, but we said an ark of all Plant life, not all Life... so thats like guessing One..."
Congrats to those that won!
