I was going to guess 3. (I missed the entry deadline)
human
plan
fungus

The possibilities are endless depending on how literal Emek takes the definition of "life form."

i was thinking of a few different answers:

1 (all is one)

2 (the ship/the plant life + the world it was sailing in. to me the machines on the ground did not constitute life but now that I think about it just because I saw them as evil didn't mean they weren't alive)

74 (approximate number of bands at the fest)

in the end I went with 42 Life Forms: The Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.

Good Times!

i never sent one since i have no desire to own this print even if he gave it to me free. i would guess he got in the neighborhood of 2,542 emails

i'd be interested too. if he got a ton of emails, since this question can be open to interpretation, it wouldn't surprise me if he "choose" the answer based on how many emails he got for that answer if his run is that small. one an explain the answer in so many different ways. it seems that few people actually counted every single life form (which may have actually been the most fair way to do it). i guess we'll know pretty soon right?

As it is with every one of these mail contest deals, when the first person hears about it, I'm sure they will post about it.

patience.

I didn't win one (yet :D ), but shouldn't an artist edition be added for those who win? Thanks.

That was my guess: Plant, pollution creatures, fish (albeit dead), animal (Dylan's head or Dead skull).

My reasoning is probably wrong, but that's how I interpreted it.

No print, but I'll take this as a nice consolation:
"42- yes thats the answer to Everything..but not this time
infinite- yes, that is true, but we said an ark of all Plant life, not all Life... so thats like guessing One..."

Congrats to those that won! :pint:
