I've got a question, I know a lot of people want complete sets of stuff they buy when there is more then in the series... With this series it's totally impossible to complete the collection for alot of the people since the first run was like 300+ with both, Second is like 600 I think and now this is like 900+ to me it doesn't make sense. does that stop some of you from buy the print?
Everybody thinks that (1) maybe they'll be one of the few to complete a set or (2) it'd be okay to have at least one of these prints as a standalone.cripplethreat wrote:I've got a question, I know a lot of people want complete sets of stuff they buy when there is more then in the series... Most people are perfectly cotent with not completing the set. Especially when someone ups their ROTK to $2500 the day of FOTR announcement. You know who you are

I am just a Captain of a tiny unremarkable sailing vessel, discount my opinions: while I love the idea of a complete set, I'm perfectly ok with just one of the six. For the next month I'd guess the FotR reg could require a lot of cash to own, but over time the truly OCD Collector Lords will export their sad and lonely TTT and FotR prints to those of us in the outlying n00bish realms.
Are most hardcore Horkey fans also hardcore movie poster nuts? Wouldn't they rather have barn owls and storks than ents and balrogs? Maybe I'm underestimating the number of guys who luuurve them some Durin's Bane.
Whatever happens, this release is not the final word in Tolkien art. Just another piece of inky paper with nonstandard dimensions. I tell myself.
