true but the variant looks much better than the foil (just IMO).

I don't own the foil, but I do own the variant and I love it. I don't know if I would like the foil because I don't like the idea of the art catching reflections. I like the bulbs to be white - not blue or red from the TV screen (or various colors as shown in Gonzo's photo).
